Laser machine can do lots of materials and jobs, like acrylic, plastic, leather, wood, and many others. But when customer get a laser engraving machine or a laser cutter, they dont know what power I should use for cutting a piece of wood? what speed should I use to engrave on glass?
To get perfect result needs more time practice and experience. We need to try different settings to test on different materials to know what setting is the perfect one. But here we can show you some settings for Redsail laser machine. But this setting is only for reference, you still need practice more.
Engrave Cut

Material Current Speed scan gap Thickness Current Speed
Wood 9MA 14-16 0-2 (3mm) 1A 1
Leather 7MA 14-16 0-2 9MA 3
Jeans 8MA 14-16 0-2 9MA 3
Acrylic 8MA 14-16 0-2 (2/3mm) 1A 1
Double layer 9MA 14-16 0-2 (1.5mm) 1A 1
M300 bitmap engrave: Usually speed is between 12-16, power is between5MA-1A, and
scan gap is 2 or 3. It cannot cut with a bitmap file.

All the settings above are for Reference. Since long time’s work, power of tube
will decrease, and machine parts will also be wearing away during use. So it needs some
changes on the setting according to situation. The above is the reference when we do
settings using that material. So settings always needs changes when met different
requirements from different customers, such as different thickness and stiffness of
different materials, and others.
